Sony Cybershot DSC H1 : Introduction

Having decided to enlarge the line of super zoom digital cameras, Sony has created its new model – the CyberShot DSC-H1 – equipped not only with a 12x optical zoom, but also with an optical stabilization system

You will immediately notice that the designers have done a great job and have succeeded in inventing a camera that is comfortable, stylish and easy to use. The control buttons of the CyberShot DSC-H1 are placed in the most convenient and logic way. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Apart from the buttons we should definitely mention the lens of the CyberShot DSC-H1, which is unusual for the Sony cameras and does not have the name of Carl Zeiss on it, but proudly carries the name of the manufacturer – Sony Lens. And we should note that for the non-zeiss optics, the lens has a decent 2.8 – 3.7 aperture. However, despite this fact, the quality of the lens is not the best – in some photos you might notice some purple fringing.

A good thing is that the CyberShot DSC-H1 starts up very quickly, and the focusing speed is quite impressing even at the telephoto end of the lens. Focusing in the low lights is also quite good thanks to the AF-assist lamp, however can be a bit slow sometimes, but quite accurate. Transferring photos to your PC won’t take much time either, as the Cybershot DSC H1 supports the USB 2.0 High Speed standard.
